This piece is by the commentator Dr. Jack Wheeler, NOT the John Wheeler whose mysterious murder in Delaware is yet unsolved. It was reprinted in the Examiner by columnist Allan Erickson.

Although it was written in 2010, its predictions have most eerily come true.

Here is the entire foreword written by Erickson:
Rarely does one simply reprint the work of another but in this case the content is so compelling, it warrants wide distribution and serious consideration.  Few people seem to grasp how serious the situation has become, worldwide.  Mock the Tea Party people all you like, but they may be our only hope.

“...these TeaPartyers - may Jack be right about them. May they amputate fascism before the fascists amputate our freedom.”

Enjoyed the article.

The ‘Court Party’ can be stopped.

Interesting perspective, even if it turns out this is something of a fictional account.

The first thing we ought to do is get away from the delusional notion that we're dealing with a Republican vs. Democrat issue here. Party politics has little to do with this, and the GOP has been complicit in nearly everything we like to blame on the Obama administration. A good indicator of this is that when I look back at the Bush administration and try to come up with historical parallels in U.S. history, the two presidents who I find most similar to Bush were Woodrow Wilson and Lyndon Johnson. These are hardly ringing endorsements for a Republican candidate, especially when you realize that LBJ may very well have been the worst president of the second half of the 20th century.

Secondly, let's stop with this nonsense that somehow Newt Gingrich (of all people) is ever going to "fix" anything if he's elected president. As a career Beltway hack, he's part of the problem, folks. He goes from Congress to a lobbying career in Washington (including lobbying for "green energy," Medicare prescription drugs, and a bunch of other things that are part of the problem), then crawls out of a hole in 2012 and tries to present himself as the guy who will fix things in Washington?

That’s what you get when GOP-E is in charge.

That is everybodies fear, not only those people in the UK. We are in deep, deep trouble, financially. It will take 2 to 3 years before we can get back to our feet. I’m afraid that our republican politicians won’t have the nerve to carry it through. They can take a page from the Coolidge administration. When Coolidge administration got into power, They were headed for one hell of a recession, even depression. What this administration did was to cut government spending 50% and cut taxes 50%. Within a year, the economy boomed. But, those politicians couldn’t keep well enough alone, they again began to tinker with our economy, that led to the depression in the 30’s. If we were allowed to explore all of our natural resources, we would be the biggest exporter of oil, gas and coal. We could pay off our debt within 3 to 4 years, and we would again be the worlds lender. And maybe, we can again go back to a gold and silver currency. We wouldn’t have inflation, because our politicians wouldn’t be able to spend more than they are getting. And also, maybe we can do away with our income tax. We may even get rid of the 16th amendment. ONE COULD ONLY WISH

Absolutely right on the money!!!

The feckless, cowardly and compramising representation we have right now will not get the job done...

But, as long as we have the ability to make adjustments (changes) tothat representation, we can get through most of this...

But representation is a regional issue, what some want their folks to do is almost entirely different than what others in another demographic or region desire...

This one size fits all is an unrealistic expectation...

As for conservatives...True conservatives are hard to find that really get to work and do what they were elected to do...They run into a lot of opposition from likly “conservatives” who are not doing what they should be doing, and those “conservatives” that have been there for a while are more interested in maintaining those leadership positions than taking it to the political opposition, and leading those other members to the job that needs to be done...

I could care less if we ever do anything else in a bi-partisan manner in D.C. or any other level of elected government ever again...That has always been something that has work against us since they thought it was playing nice to those who appear to be more patient than we are...They know it’ll help them out in the long run...

We have NO such future vision in the Republican party, I do not care what some think about that either...Proof is in what we are going through now...

Just my opinion...
