Santorum’s right: If he can win in IL, I see no reason he can’t take NY or CA...

Rick will get pounded in California and New York. He has no organization in either state and as far as California, is a non-entity. Newt has more visibility in California.

California is not for another two-and-a-half months. That’s a political lifetime.

“Newt has more visibility in California.”

That just might be his problem. His phenomenal gender gap will be most accentuated in CA, the home of Boxer and Feinstein.

I agree with you as regards California and New York. It’s odd, but if he is nominated it will be largely on the strength of delegations whose states (MA,CA,NY,VT, etc.) he has no chance of carrying in the general election. I’m not sure that is a good indicator.

When Newt came to speak here in 3 different L.A. locations, it was never reported in the local media. Obviously the LA SLIMES will never cover the GOp either which is understandable. Most conservatives who are politically-charged that I know of here in the L.A. area did not even know Newt was in town until we all looked at FR and it was too late..
