NY.SS-Bar9, I know what you mean. I was born in, and I'm still living in NYC. Everyone in NY, at least those old enough to be knowledgeable about current affairs, knows Chuck U is hopeless. Now, I don't have much hope for Gillibrand either, but remember that she got into the Senate with at least an 'A' rating from the NRA, and that election was to fill the remainder of Hillary's term. Gillibrand is up again this November.
Now, forget the paticulars of this bill. Look at it from the right of self defense and the general election this November. Ask yourself, why are two rats sponsoring this bill? It's a FReebie for a number of reasons. Being rats, it bolster's their dubious credibility on the Second Amendment. It's unlikely to get sixty votes in the Senate, and if it does, Obama will likely veto it, unless it's passed as an amendment to a "must pass" bill like they did with the Coburn Amendment which allows concealed carry in national parks, etc.
Why am I pinging everyone on my lists? This election is not just about Obama and his hostility to the Second Amendment. It's about U.S. Senators Mark Begich (D-Alaska) and Joe Manchin (D-WV). How come these phonies are mum about Fast and Furious and similar operations in other states?
Due to the retirements of Akaka, Bingaman, Conrad, Kohl, Lieberman, Ben Nelson and Webb, the left will be defending seven open seats in the Senate, and the odds of retaking it are best in seats without incumbents.
The rats are trying to make social issues a big deal in November. If you know any independnt voters or may be able to recruit and register new voters, don't forget the rats' overall record on the right to self defense and the Second Amendment.
FReepmail me if you want on or off my New York ping list.
Gillibrand = Chuck Schumer sockpuppet.
She went straight from an “A” to an “F”
She might give lip service to the second amendment between now and November, but she is just another scummy politician with no core belief other than keeping her job.
I think that having this is a BAD idea and i’ll tell you why. If we give them the ability to make carry national. Then they can say that they have a national tie to the second amendment.
The only tie that the federal government should have is the the negative right .. not to infringe upon our right to keep and bear arms.
leave everything else up to the individual states.
If they get their hands on anything to do with guns then it opens up a whole new avenue for them to attack who can carry and who can not. I am opposed to this whole heartedly.
Seriously think about supporting this before you do. There will be consequences if it passes. They will then decide who gets to carry and who does not.
