Taken at a gas station within walking distance of the White House:
the cost of getting rid of a marxist
The price of gas when Obama took office was...less than $2/gallon. Hammer it home!
That’s exactly it.
Hubby and I were talking about “why” the prices have done this at this particular time.
I wouldn’t be suprised if they are being intentionally manipulated by “whoever”....and I don’t care.
“Whoever” is doing this can keep it up for all I care.
If this is what it takes to keep this guy from destroying the country, than so be it.
We can afford a short time with this problem....we can’t afford another 4 years of Obama.
Are the taxes on gas really that high in DC? The point remains the same, but we’re sitting at nearly $2 per gallon less expensive.
The price of gasoline mainly depends on what the taxes on gasoline are. I have no idea how much the tax on gasoline is in DC, but I’m sure it’s considerable.
The price also depends on what the property taxes at the particular gas station are. If that station is within “walking distance of the White House”, you can bet that they are pretty high.
I would venture to say that the $5.00 threshold is the beginning of the end for the “Lyin’ King”.
DC isn’t just a den of thieves, it’s a tourist trap. Instead of the Mouse, you have the Rats...
If you think 15 blocks is walking distance; this sign is at a tiny gas station next to the Watergate apartment building at the intersection of Virginia Avenue, NW and Rock Creek Parkway (I drive by this place frequently; this gas station has always been $1 per gallon higher than anyone else in the area).
When you look at the stations in the immediate area being a dollar to a dollar and a half cheaper per gallon, it is obvious someone is playing games.
On the same block, Sunoco is $3.93.
I, however, put 50 to 80 miles a day on my car, just in the course of doing my job.
I don’t have the luxury of deserting the road by 8:00PM.
Are the taxes on gas really that high in DC?....Unintended consequences, I think. The entrepreneurs probably figure “These overpaid drones need to get to their offices, now let them pay”. Good.
Gasoline Fuel Taxes by State including D.C.
DC is about the middle, neither high nor low.
Actually, they do not care if you[and me] see it or not. They through their allies, the media, have been able to convince a large segment or the population that this is all Bush’s fault. Not theirs. And none of the other mess we are in is obama’s fault either. I have been asked numerous times by these people,”What has obama done that is so bad?” And the phrase, “If the Republicans would stop hindering him, he would straighten out the Country’s problems quickly.” And the Democrats I know of cannot wait to vote for him again.
Hopey changey
Well don’t worry. The price will come down in September as usual. And Obie can take credit just in time for the election.
