The situation is a bit different. Ronald Reagan was truly anti establishment . He believed deeply in individualism, and free markets (although he wasn’t always able to affect the change he believed in). Rick is not. He is an establishment nanny stater that believes government should shape markets, and provide incentives to individuals in order to influence behavior. He also believes in “social justice” which is the forcible redistribution of wealth.
But for the situation I pointed out, they are the same.
