Santorum seriously underperformed tonight, and most of his loss over the last two weeks appear to have shifted to Newt. The trend may yet be Newt’s friend.

That makes NO sense whatsoever.

It makes perfect sense, if you look at a period of time longer than six hours.

Agree - that made no sense. I hate it but tonight was a serious body blow that put Newt down on one knee. There is really no way to sugarcoat it.

Yash - I doubted Santorum. I doubted he could even place in the top 3 of any primary when this thing started. I won’t doubt him again. He does not get the media coverage and has little money but he is posting wins. Conventional wisdom has been wrong througout this race so don’t put much stock in the polls that say Santorum loses to Obama.

Bottom line for this primary has been that the polls are full of crap. I won’t doubt Santorum again although I still prefer Gingrich.
