State Controller John Chaing continues to uphold the California Great Seal Motto of Eureka, i.e., 'I have found it'. But what Chaing is finding as Controller is that Californias economy as measured by tax revenues is still tanking. Compared to last year, State tax collections for February shriveled by $1.2 billion or 22%. The deterioration is more than double the shocking $535 million reported decline for last month. The cumulative fiscal year decline is $6.1 billion or down 11% versus this period in 2011. (snip) California politicians seem delusional in their continued delusion that high taxes have not savaged

Haha! I love it!
But...but..”We’re in a recovery”, shouts Obama...ergo tax revenues must be increasing. /s
“I hope ya took some friends with ya. The less traffic/people here, the better I like it!”
Damned straight! California was a great place to grow up in in the 1950’s and 1960’s .Reason: No people! Once the government crashes, things will start back toward the way it used to be. The illegals will leave when there are no lawns to mow and no welfare to tide them over.
P.S. Used to have to go to Memphis one week out of every six to manage an operation my company had there. Nice people, but the weather is the $hits. CA would have to get a whole lot worse to cause me to think about leaving, At it’s worst, it’s still light years ahead of any other place in the US, and possibly the world.
Please, bribe them more...You’ll love everything that comes with it!
You bet.
If I could make 10,000,000 move out of state tomorrow, I’d do it in a minute, and be at the border waving, urging them to take send for their relatives.
I didn’t say they were American mexican. They were NOT citizens. Tenn weather is great. 4 seasons and good dirt to grow a garden in. Calif desert would only grow sand. Crappy soil and weather.
And they got to keep it? I inherited some money from an uncle in CA, and the state of CA tried to keep a percentage of it! Even though I had never lived or worked in CA. And it was after the estate had paid the death tax. It took 4 months after filing CA tax forms, and even though I was assured by the tax preparer that I owed CA nothing, they still kept about $20, and the preparer said not to bother trying to get it.

It is. You’ll see over 100,000 military culled shortly. It’s already on the books.
Thanks Nachum.
I was in a Safeway grocery store a few days ago and saw a pregnant Mexican-looking woman (not American Hispanic) thumbing through a book of food stamps. They were the old-fashioned paper food stamps with a picture of the Liberty Bell on them. She had a couple of kids and an older male (husband?) with her.
Hehehehe...Thanks for that bit of humor.
BTW, CA soil is so crappy, it feeds half the country, and rakes in hundreds of billions.
In fact, my tomato and strawberry plants are loaded now, orange trees full...
Good luck with those 4 seasons...I'll just tough it out with this world class, year round, Mediterranean style weather.
I am waiting for my Tax-refund.
Lets hope he don't, so we can watch the overpaid, bloated unionized state government workers go broke..
I suggest they move to Tennessee or Texas!
“In 50 years, CA will resemble a Mexican version of Detroit. Heck, it may not even take that long.”
If things keep goin’ the way they’re goin’, might actually take about 10-15 years, if that long.
Assuming tax revenues -continue- to fall at, let’s say, a rate of 9-14% each year, how long until they simply dry up and disappear?
I miss-used the word inherit. Sorry,
Her parents are still alive and they set it up so CA cant steal it. They fled CA while her parents are still alive.
I lived about 40 miles N. of the Mexican border. The only things that would grow was hay, onions and beets. Then they had to truck in the soil for them.
Sorry you are “stuck” in KKK “Kominest Kountry of Kalifornia”.
Ya need to update yourself...It’s estimated 400,000 illegals have left CA and went back to Mehico and places like Texas!
Trust me, a bad economy has it pluses!

And you can keep the earthquakes too. I’ve had enough of them ..... 7.0 on Easter a couple of years ago, 9.2 1964 Alaska. At least I can hide from bad weather, where you gonna go for an earthquake??
