I'm of the same mind. I would vote for either Rick and Newt; a "moderate RINO" like Romney would be a disaster. Now that Santorum is proving to be the only viable challenge to Romney, for the life of me I can't understand why Newt is stubbornly persisting.
I wish Rick would call Newt and offer him any position in his administration if he would withdraw his candidacy.
The South is just a small portion of the biggest states yet to come. And Romney will take strong portions of several proportional states and also, several key, winner take all states. Santorum did not gain all that much in delegates tonight.
I would seriously hope Santorum would have the good sense to ask Allen West to be his vp. We could have the WH for 16 years!

Newt persists because he has a clue.
Rick will never be the nominee and only the delegates of the two of them TOGETHER are all that stands between Romney and the magic number of 1144.
Newt supporters will go in some numbers and delegates to Romney. Newt is staving that off.
Get the picture?
We agree, with a qualification: I'm not sure that may not have already happened. I think Gingrich and Santorum get along much better than a lot of their supporters, and they agree on the key goal of defeating Romney now and Obama next.
I can think of some good reasons (delegate problems for Santorum, Gingrich supporters who may go to Romney in certain key states) why neither Santorum nor Gingrich may want Gingrich to drop out yet.
