Yes, that bothers me that Rick is saying he is the true Reagan conservative in the race. What does it say; he completely ignores Newt's historical ties to President Reagan.
I doubt anyone anywhere would have the time to do the calculations or gather the quotes, but more and more, Santorum’s speeches and remarks are just stuff that Newt said much much earlier. And when he’s really pressed, Santorum isn’t even able to dress them up and make them look like his own. I really don’t like that for some reason, though I suppose it goes on all the time.
And I really don’t like Sanctimonium calling newt Congressman Gingrich, to make himself look more important. That is particularly lousy to me. Someone told me it is a part of congressional protocol to always address a member by the highest title he achieved. Tacky. Tacky Tricky Ricky.
Nancy Reagan did once say “Ronnie” passed the torch to Rick Santorum as a member of the House of Representatives. :-)
