"As much as I support the fact that it's your right to air whatever programming you see fit, I think it's important that you know that as long as Rush Limbaugh is carried on your radio station, I will not patronize any of the sponsors who advertise on your station. Not just on Rush's show -- on your station. I have called 10 friends who have also agreed to call 10 friends who will ask them to call 10 friends and you get the idea.
If it is your decision to continue to provide a broadcast platform, I will not only boycott your advertisers, but when the time comes for your license renewal, I will file an objection with the Federal Communications Commission stating that, in my opinion, you are not broadcasting in the public interest. How can it be in the interest of the American public to provide a broadcast platform for someone who says the hateful, divisive things Rush Limbaugh says? Please consider this request and consider the success of your radio station"
"Nice radio station you have here. Be a shame if anything happened to it."
You can’t squeeze blood from a turnip. This fool will probably never have any money to patronize any sponsers. That degree in medieval poetry for $150K, you know...
It’s a line from an old television commercial. I bet you a woman wrote this.

The letter seems to be based on advice given at Daily Kos and Examiner.
I did a Bing search, and only turned up this thread at FR. But a Google search turned up that advice as items 2 and 3:
“How can it be in the interest of the American public to provide a broadcast platform for someone who says the hateful, divisive things Rush Limbaugh says?”
When its done in opposition to liberalism. There can be nothing greater in the public’s interest.
I bet he’s learned about everything Rush says from Media Matters, HuffPo or MoveOn.org. amazing the amount of people that know all about Rush from unreliable sources.
I will file an objection with the Federal Communications Commission stating that, in my opinion, you are not broadcasting in the public interest.
There is a boot camp somewhere that teaches liberals how to believe in and fully support two diametrically opposed concepts at the same time without blinking an eye. Or they're just mentally ill.
Its like they are saying pretty please otherwise we'll go Nazi on you. What a bunch of freaking cry babies.....
That is getting awfully close to a secondary boycott. Isn’t that illegal?
You’re right.
I will file an objection with the Federal Communications Commission stating that, in my opinion, you are not broadcasting in the public interest.
Where ever you are tonight, Rush - thanks for sharing.
Wonder if his ten “friends” heard him call out from his padded cell....
