On top of Obama getting ready to free the Gitmo Talibam, it is definitely time to pull out and go Ripley on the whole mess.

We should have been out years ago. Waste of lives, money, resources. Didn’t history teach us anything?
To: DCBryan1
Ya think we will ever learn if this was an out-of-the-closet soldier? Or something derived from this Obama policy change.
To: Bobalu
Sounds good to me.
However, with all these developments, let’s remember our troops are heroes and we must never treat them the way the Veitnam Veterans were treated when they came home. NEVER!

Agree.
This just compromised and undermined the situation even more if that's possible. It's what happens when there is no plan, no goal, no initial overwhelming force, no exit plan to get out. All kinds of bad s**t eventually happens.

The pinko libs will make this part of an SAT question.
“Johnny the US soldier has killed 16 Afghan civilians, including nine children. How many adults did Johnny kill?
A. 5
B. 6
C. 8
D. The US military should be eliminated.
To: DCBryan1
Wouldn't surprise me if this was orchestrated by our own government to give 0bama the excuse he's been CRAVING to get out of Afghanistan. Our government leaked the book burning on purpose, hoping that would be the catalyst. That wasn't enough so we stepped it up with 'a civilian slaughter'. Anyone who doesn't entertain this possibility doesn't understand that lengths the 'Saul Alinskyites' are willing to go to, to achieve their goals; Such as sabotaging a BP oil rig to implement moratoriums on domestic oil drilling, or flooding Mexico with assault weapons to impose harsher gun restrictions (gun control) on American firearms dealers; By the way how many Mexican civilians have died as a result of our regime's 'Fast & Furious' plot?
Don't be surprised if Leon Panetta sets into motion this soldier being tried by a World Court.. He already set the stage for it in his comments last week, right?

"I cannot explain the motivation behind such callous acts, I'll take a guess.
Afghan "allies" killing US soldiers because a silly book was burned, too long deployed to hell, problems at home, PTSD, Afghans looking at you funny and they're all armed... add in any that you wish.

Sounds very hinky to me. American soldiers do not do things like this. What is the soldier’s name? Who was he with? Was he told to do this by some “contractor”—or was he a contractor?
Sounds as if it is a set up, to build on the “burning the Q’ran” hysteria. This sets up a battle cry and recruitment tool for all muslim soldiers to turn on Americans.
This is the way the muslims wage war. Propaganda and hysteria...terrorism.

The gitmo detainees will be treated more fairly than this soldier. Time to get the hell out of that poppy infested, primative and ungrateful country. Bring our troops home and let Afghanistan live in their own misery.

There is definately a reason why his name was not released. Perhaps it was not “American”....

Then again, ya have to understand, we have a government running this military, who refuses to even secure/protect our own borders/homeland during war time. Even after 911. This is one of the few things government is actually required/supposed to do, but refuse.
In fact, Bush allowed in more Muslims after 911, than in the previous two decades, all while leaving the doors to our home, wide open during war time.
Considering these facts, it totally impeaches and undermines the legitimacy and credibility of our government.

How do we know it was an American soldier?
Because the Afghans say so? Muslims lie as soon as their lips are moving.

“Since World War II the United States has been fighting wars that are police actions to maintain order.”
Excellent point. These “police actions” create profits for some, the tragic loss of lives and loss of quality of life for many others. Rarely can they ever be actually won using said rules of engagement, or do they actually benefit the USA, and I question if they are about defending the USA and our freedoms. Why? Because while we are stretched all over the world frittering away the last gasp of our credit, we are being invaded and our borders breached regularly by those bring in drugs and crime and war to American citizens inside of our borders.
Another thing I find troubling is that many of the same politicians that historically wanted the USA to have full and open immigration, amnesties and open borders, are the same ones promoting secure borders for Israel. The fact that we have USA politicians pushing for open USA borders while closed in Israel doesn’t make any sense. Why would they not care about the USA?

Has not worked since Germany and Japan.
Waste of time in Afghanistan since there really is no “nation” only a very loose association of regional, ethnic an tribal factions who band together when necessary.

We still have people and stuff there. Pull out everything we can and destroy the rest.
In five years it will be a suburb of Iran anyways so why leave them stuff?
