It's about freedom of Religion.

The only one clearly making this case to the voters is Newt.

They are falling for spin because they are stupid. I’d rather live in “Literal-ville” as Rush calls it. As if all of us are calling for a ban on contraceptives.

Pinch is carrying water for The Messiah and the Democrat party as always.

NYT would put a headline that the GOP causes leprosy if they could get away with it.

Silly Republicans just keep walking into these obvious Alinsky traps set for them. And then Rush foolishly took it to a whole other level. Mission accomplished for Team Obama: ripping away the women who abandoned the Democrats in 2010, with a single, contrived non-issue. And the GOPers handed it to them on silver platter.

More garbage from the NYT trying to make the issue about “Women” rather than the “Economy”. She’s following the DNC Talking Points real well.

Romney & Santorum are both ahead of 0 in the last polls.

Either the NYT is lying (would you be surprised?) or "centrist women" are just not that important a faction of the voting public.

woman's disenchantment =NYT propaganda!!!

Any women who feel this way are feminazi moonbats without 2 brain cells with which to spark analytical, critical thinking--but then I become redundant. I DID say moonbats!

They’re right about one thing:
dumb sluts ARE the center of American politics!

And the lifeblood of NYTimes’ advertising...

This is such a fake issue. No republicans have proposed any new policies whatsoever.

I bet if you could find Mary Russell’s FaceBook page, you’d find she’s no so centrist.

“Centrist” women - I guess to the NYT, need that free abortion and birth control above all other “freedoms” crowd is centrist - Fluke is also a centrist to them. They need to change their name to the New York Propagandist.

I don’t buy that these women are evangelicals and “old school” Repubs in the first place. But idiots like this who choose a candidate based solely on their reproductive organs make me think Neal Boortz had a point when he said women shouldn’t be allowed to vote.

Mrs. Russell...an evangelical Christian who is pro-abortion. A retired school teacher of the old mold, moderate Republican....most likely she’s just moldy.

And so it begins. The election year liberal media campaign of disenfranchised “republican” women/minorities who “might” or will be voting for the democrat instead. And their “reasons” are always the usual liberal talking points right out of the DNC handbook. It never fails. Now let’s see them interview disenfranchised democrats who will be voting republican. I won’t hold my breath.

So the NYT’s in its diligent reporting manages to find a few nitwits out of 3 million Americans. Note they are retired school teachers. Boy I was going to vote republican this election but the New York Times tells me everyone is voting Obama. I don’t want to seem like I think for myself so I’ll vote Democratic.

...the battle over access to birth control...

I wonder where this "centrist" is getting her information. WHO is trying to block anyone's "access to birth control"? I haven't heard anything about that in any of this garbage. To be an informed voter, you can't rely on 30 second soundbites from Barry's MSM propaganda machine to give you the truth. No one has said anything about controlling her "reproductive rights". This article in the Slimes is nothing but commie 'RAT propaganda. Women can have all of the "birth control" they want. The taxpayers just don't want to have to pay for it. The Planned Parent Hoods will gladly give them all of the pills and abortions they want.

Great thread. It has sparked a lot of varied commentary on many related issues. And as you have so capably illustrated on many threads, it all comes down to .......

The only one clearly making this case to the voters is Newt.

Centrists = moderates = Democrats in drag. Almost as predictable as independents who are Democrats looking to vote Republican until their feelings get hurt for the slightest offense and then return to the safety of their original choice. Neither group have a backbone between them and fancy themselves as erudite and having higher moral standing. Too bad they are so self deceived.

Reaction:

#1 - It's the New York Times so it's probably a lie.

#2 - During the 60's women were fighting for equal pay and the ability to get their own bank accounts. Today they're fighting for government funded birth control. How are those even comparable?

#3 - Feminists often say they don't need no man. That's apparently true: they need ALL taxpaying men.
