The things God does are always reasonable. It is just that they do not always seem reasonable to us, because we only see dimly right now. If we could see everything clearly from the beginning to the end of time, and if we could understand completely, which is from every angle and nuance, as God does, then we would see the whys of everything. But with our extremely limited understanding, we must always remember and strive to trust and believe that God is just and good in all the decisions He makes.
Even from our limited understanding, the fact that God is just and good is clearly evident, because all of creation is declares it. His creation is so utterly beautiful and abundantly awesome in so exceedingly many ways that if we look at it we can see God, and know something of His vast goodness and ability. His glory is evident even in a flower.
But people, in many of our actions, are not just and good. Because we are so polluted in our actions and understanding, even the best of us, it isn't always easy to understand and see God's goodness. If we have eyes to see (which really means that we want to), He gives to us the ability to see and understand enough of His vast and awesome goodness, even from our limited seeing, to love and believe in Him. When the eyes of our soul are open to Him, knowledge and ability to know and understand Him, He allows to be increased moment by moment, and day by day. The real question is, do we want this? If we sincerely want the knowledge of the truth, and are willing to follow it, we will, by His grace, find it.
OK, change what I said from...’not even reasonable to us’...to...’things that do not seem reasonable to us’...better?
