Stewart is VERY popular. I was just in a conversation with a few other moms and they all started talking excitedly at once about something on his show. He makes me sick. But liberals and apoliticals just LOVE him. He is so perfectly sarcastic and mocking. Just like kids in the classroom, you want to make sure to be on his side of everything so you’re not mocked as stupid. Alinsky was right about the effect of mockery.

He's in his fifties, is laughably short (why he's always sitting behind a desk, and I suspect that desk and chair is elevated...), wrinkly, pale and his hair is practically gone. Note how carefully they arrange his plugs and remaining hair, and a schnauzer has to die every time they "do" up that complicated hair, a la Trump.

But he's cool.

Not so much for the young set right now, and I pay close attention, but to middle-aged now who are hanging desperately on to the words of their Mean Girl.
