The problem in France has been the influx of poor illiterate non productive people, with no skills living off the State.
They do not share the same culture and societal values as the rest of French society. They do not want to assimilate or integrate into French society.
Sarko has made a great effort promoting "immigration choisi" or selective immigration, requiring them to read, write, and speak French, and have a knowledge of French history. As well, proving they have a sponsor and means of support and be productive.
Hollande wants unrestricted immigration, keeping them poor and on the dole so they will always vote Socialist.
National security, economic stability, unemployment, and the expansion of the Socialist welfare State are not a problem for Hollande and his Socialist pals.

Sounds like France and the U.S.A. suffer from the same disease - socialism!
In France, vote for Sarkozy; in the U.S.A., vote for Gingrich.

Sarko has made a great effort promoting "immigration choisi" or selective immigration, requiring them to read, write, and speak French, and have a knowledge of French history. But whose version of French history? Seems there would be an aristocratic history, a history of the bourgeoisie, and even a Moorish history at points. Perhaps the uneducated masses are trying to rewrite French history to favor and cast pity upon the Moors?
