Why would they want to do this. Seems a safety issue. Their plotting with NDAA, drones, TSA stops, monitoring Internet...is like they are getting ready for something they know will P*ss us off.

I watch too many cop shows. Anyway, some use cell phones to trigger bombs. Turning off the towers might stop a cell phone from triggering a bomb to go off. Are they anticipating something?

In Iraq they shut down the cell towers whenever there was an operation going down. Of course that most likely tipped off the locals anyway but they could not coordinate attacks without cell phones.

The military and law enforcement will still need to communicate so I suggest getting some secure walki talkies

Sorry to piss in your cheerio’s but it is easier to build a low power signal generator to block signals than shutting down entire networks for what you describe . Shutting down entire networks is for people control nothing else.
