I really respect your enthusiasm, but looking into the depth of the internals that drive this Primary, it comes down to funding, preparation, organization and planning. No candidate can win without dominating those 4 elements.

Santorum is extremely weak or has completely failed in all of these categories. He has lost too many delegates due to poor organization and planning alone. His inexperience in a national election is to blame. Also, the severe lack of interest in Santorum for the entire first 7/8th of the campaign year us also a factor.

Let's face it, you can't win against or without the fundamentals.

You're right. But you've also got to give Santorum credit for being a fast learner. Two weeks before Iowa, he was not nationally known. And he's the clear Romney alternative now. Let's see what he does between now and the next biggest set of primaries on April 24.
