No.
YES!
Gingrich must steps aside. His “southern strategy” is up in flames placing distant third and fourth in key states.
Working Women. This is a key demographic that Romney leads Santorum followed by a deficit of 11 points, and Gingrich is well way behind by 31 points and is one major reason why Gingrich can neither win the nomination nor the presidency.
Gingrich was the big spoiler in MI where Santorum lost by just three points. Besides the notion of permanent moon-based colonies and pie-in-the-sky $2.50 gas/gallon regardless of world energy markets or geopolitical conditions is simply risible and wont play well with voters. Note, that Gingrich couldnt even get the 50% threshold in home-state GA whereas Romney got a whopping 72% in MA.
If Santorum loses OH, we can attribute this to a divided conservative vote. The big city areas in OH have not yet been counted. Karl Rove thinks that when these county results come in, Romney will have won OH. He (unfortunately) may just be right.
Santorum has won IA; MN; CO; MO; and ND. Today, Santroum has notched up another trifecta: OK, TN, and ND. He came within a whisker of beating Romney in MI, and while he may lose OH it will be only by a coupe of points and Gingrich’s 15% would a major factor that explains this fact.
