Told who? From what was posted when Newt discovered that Brit’s son and Paxon were an item, he outed them both or perhaps I read it wrong. Did he, as speaker, out Barney Frank and others we may not be aware of and is that his role to do so?

The way I interpreted it - maybe incorrectly - was that Newt found out Paxon was a sodomite and told Paxon he knew. If this happened when Newt was Speaker, it was absolutely his obligation to that to protect the party.
