.....Mr. Obama knew each and every question that would be asked at that press conference. IT WAS A DOG AND PONY SHOW, it was a complete sham and staged event. He's watching Newt's $2.50=Newt catch on and he needed to get out there and LIE.

do you think the president of the United States going into re-election wants gas prices to go up higher."Going into re-election" is the key phrase. Of course, high energy prices should hurt him politically. But he never worried much about it before the re-election bid kicked off. He himself said he wanted higher prices. A few weeks ago, the regime saw higher energy prices as a sign of economic recovery. His Energy secretary says he wants gasoline about double what it is now.
He's a g-------d liar.

you can tell that idiot Stephen Chu’s testimony wasn’t focus grouping very well

From a political perspective, do you think the president of the United States going into re-election wants gas prices to go up higher? Is there anybody here who thinks that makes a lot of sense?Obviously, Energy Secretary Steven Chu does.

"Under my plan of a cap and trade system, electricity rates would necessarily skyrocket. Even regardless of what I say about whether coal is good or bad. Because Im capping greenhouse gases, coal power plants, you know, natural gas, you name it whatever the plants were, whatever the industry was, uh, they would have to retrofit their operations. That will cost money. They will pass that money on to consumers." -Barack Obama, Nov 2, 2008
