By now, you probably all know that Fluke's goal in going to Georgetown was based on the fact that it did not provide contraception coverage as part of its insurance plan. Her purpose was to force the Catholic Church to provide free contraceptives.

Catholic ping.

Isn't Ms. Fluke an employee of the University, as distinguished from being a student there? Doesn't that distinction make a difference as what Catholic institution employers are required to do under the new rules?

"Her purpose was to force the Catholic Church to provide free contraceptives"

We are letting the media control the language again... this is not about contraception alone- there are ABORTION drugs included in what they are calling 'contraception'

This is about getting a catholic school to pay for abortions

Like all of the Democrats dirty tricks this one worked.

She got all kinds of publicity, she cost a man his advertisers, she posed as a 23 year old student and most who heard her think that is what she is.

The Media will now drop the whole thing and again a Republican looks like crap.

Unfortunately due to Limbaugh’s indiscretion, the media were able to make her as much a saint of the liberal left as Gabby Giffords.

Her economic premise is totally indefensible and she should have been shredded on that basis. It’s really a bad outcome, although I suspect by election time she’ll be a footnote to history, sort of like Rielle Hunter.

It would also be interesting to know who helped her in her goals to attend these elite colleges. Was she accepted based on merit, or did she have doors opened for her? I wonder if her academic achievements are as secretive as a certain...you know...president....

The sad thing is that she probably had 1 point higher on her LSATs than a student who just missed getting into Georgetown who wanted to actually be a lawyer, as opposed to an infanticide lobbyist.

Ann Coulter is not popular with conservatives right now because of her blind faith in Myth Romney.

But she had some great points in her book “Godless”. Liberals use unassailable “victims” as props in a culture war. After 9/11 they used the widows to score political anti war points. Who would dare criticize them? Their husbands are dead. They are “helpless” and grieving.

Nonsense. Women are smarter than men. This Fluke woman is not just some innocent private citizen speaking to the gubmint policymakers. This was planned.

She is not just some random freshman college student who was so bad in bed that no horny 18 yo guy would pay 75 cents for a condom to boink.

She is a trained professional on a closed course. Do not attempt this at home.

Peter Schweizer on the overlooked money angle in the contraception wars, and Big Pharma’s role in driving the debate.
“This mandate is not really about condoms or generic versions of ‘the pill,’ which are available free or cheap in lots of places. This is about brand-name birth control drugs and other devices that some consumers swear off because they are too expensive. The Health and Human Services (HHS) mandate requires health-insurance companies provide contraceptive coverage for all ‘FDA approved contraceptive methods.’ It does not insist on generics. And it does not offer any cost containment.

The invisible hand working behind the scenes of the HHS mandate:” It’s important to point out that among President Obama’s biggest financial backers are precisely the Big Pharma companies who benefit from the mandate. Sally Sussman, head of government affairs for Pfizer, is one of his biggest campaign bundlers, who co-hosted a fundraiser for Obama on Thursday night. Pfizer sells numerous contraceptives that now must be covered by health-care plans. Obama’s financial ties to the pharmaceutical...
