Rush retains a few minutes per hour that HE can sell to advertisers. He usually endorses these products himself, and does the commericals. I assume that sponsors pay a premium rate for this, and that over the years the value of these campaigns has shown itself.
So we are talkign about two different types of advertisers, and we need to distinguish between the two. I suspect that he will lsoe a few from both sectors, but after a few months, when it all dies down..they'll be lining up to sign up. It may talke longer for any new personal Rush advertisers to come on board..that just wouldn't be a good business decision now..why antagonize a % of your market..it would be just bad publicity..
He gives Apple a lot of free time, because they would never hire him, but they must give him PowerBooks and iPads to give away on occasion. In fact I think Jobs spent some time trying to get him off the radio, he also went after Beck.
Wednesday will be Apple day for sure. He is a Devoloper so has probably had his hands on some of the stuff already.
