Dr. Thorne: Rush did what every politician does - cave and then try to make it sound like he's not caving. Besides the "we're all in this together" meme that he is pushing lies this bottom line truth: Rush grovelled and then pulled the rug out from under all of us who have been supporting him in this mess, like a general who deployed his troops and then ran.

Your analogy about generals is good though. The conservative movement is acting like an Army where 1/3 of the soldiers run around proud of fragging their leaders, 1/3 of them are deserting because their generals are not getting promotions, and 1/3 are afraid to even say boo to the liberal enemies and family members in their own dining rooms, much less fight them with the zeal of a Rush or a Breitbart.

And the enemy can't believe how easy their victories are coming.
