In the past General Motors wanted to advertise on Rush's show. He said no.

Advertisers not only follow the audience, they follow the demographics which have money to spend. That demographic is overwhelmingly conservative because we haven't blown our public assistance check on drugs, booze and lottery tickets. At the moment, you can still make more from actually earning a paycheck than from a gubmint gimme check. Though, of course, ObaMao is working 24/7 to change that.

Excellent point.

Air America failed because they could not sell ad time. Because Liberals are anti-Capitalism and make lousy customers. Hence not many of them were buying the stuff they heard advertised on their shows. So the revenue dried-up and their shows went away.

I liked a suggestion one Freeper had that Rush start a line of products to replace all these cowards.

It took a while, but he replaced Snapple with Two If by Tea. I bet he could sell some memory foam bed (I like much better than the silly air mattress sleep numbers), Rush Flowers, and Rush Backup.

Dr. Thorne: Rush did what every politician does - cave and then try to make it sound like he's not caving. Your analogy about generals is good though. The conservative movement is acting like an Army where 1/3 of the soldiers run around proud of fragging their leaders, 1/3 of them are deserting because their generals are not getting promotions, and 1/3 are afraid to even say boo to the liberal enemies and family members in their own dining rooms, much less fight them with the zeal of a Rush or a Breitbart.

And the enemy can't believe how easy their victories are coming.
