The article refers to the iPad and ‘other Apple products’. In other words, everything that Apple does.
How many people work for Apple directly?
Those jobs would be gone, I agree. I doubt half a million people work for Apple. Apple is claiming, on average, 10,000 people per state would lose their jobs if Apple folded.
I’m saying, I find that hard to believe. Most of the delivery people would still be delivering. Most electronic good salespeople would still be selling electronic products.
As I said, I can believe 20 or 30 thousand people across all industries being affected enough that Apple folding could cause them to become unemployed.
Half a million? Doubt it.
