Well, that is my biggest worry for Rush....whether anything is suitworthy.
I listened to a lot of his last three days and I must say, it WAS entertaining. Rush was demonstrating the absurd by being absurd.
This whole Sandra Fluke testimony thing was ridiculous BEFORE Rush ever uttered a word. First off, $3,000 for three years of contraception is a crock. Even if you wanted to pay that much for "contraception", do you know what tuition is for Georgetown? $1,000 a year is miniscule, comparatively. This woman is an activist. She chose Georgetown to try to force them to change their rules. She was president of Law Students for Reproductive Justice (??? WTH???)
This whole issue came about because our new dictators (obama and the healthcare panel) have decided what is best for us. Right now it is that we must have "free" contraception. Well, there is nothing free, so now my insurance will cost more so others may take advantage of "free" contraception. Just like when obama decided that insurance MUST offer healthcare to children up to the age of 26, my insurance costs went up...same for all the "free" prevntative mandates. THERE IS NO FREE LUNCH.
But now, we are hearing testimony in Congress how some poor starving law students need others to cover the cost of their contraception because they want it but don't want to fork out the extra bucks. .......and I haven't even mentioned the morality of demanding that others violate their conscience with this mandate.
Here's Kathleen Sebelious justifying why this is such a grand idea.
Rep. Tim Murphy Questions HHS Secretary Kathleen Sebelius This is VERY serious stuff. (money quote is at the end of the exchange)
I know. I know. HHS K. Sebelius is pure-bred Roman Catholic. Stebelius attended Catholic girls schools and then college in DC run by the nuns of Notre Dame. Her father is former Ohio Governor John Gilligan. How did she become spawn of satan? The Bishops better start minding their flocks.
BTW the “apology” is very helpful in cutting off the suit prospects.
