comments like this one I’m respondin to is why I avoid readin you like the plague......you always whine
Let's hope many others came away with the same impressions.
As far as charitable giving, people like Rick. They're chipping away at the nice guy image.
The charitable giving questioning was not a bright move by Wallace if he was trying to help Romney.....not sure why he kept on it after Santorum answered the first time.
Rush’s new wife probably turned the tide to apologize (not to mention 3-4 of his main sponsors dropping him). I think his staff has become a bunch of yes men. He often calls on them whether he is going too far etc., and Snerdly seems to tell him (off mic) that “no, it’s cool. Get get ‘em.” and so he does. 3 days of pounding the slut stuff, even with fans calling and telling him “enough already”, and several years of perodic bemoaning how his comments on Donovan McNabb got him fired from ESPN. He needs some grown-ups on there to keep him straight.
JUst getting in from a 13 hour drive from Crestview Fla.
WTH is Wall Ass grilling Santorum on more social issues when we are in debt up to our asses and gas is going up like mad?
WHat an idiot1! If I were Santorum I would only deal with pertinent issues not social BS when the country is near financial death.
Maybe this is part of the problem.this guy has had an agenda the entire time according to a guy who went to college with him.ITs Cloward Piven all the way.Collapse the system install socialism, makes sense with what they are doing and have done.

We have plenty of issues we just don't have any charismatic speakers who can drive home what is happening to the country under the rule of the regime.
When is the last time yo heard anyone give a littany of energy, debt, budget imbalance, obmacare idiocy etc etc.? We need a Marco Rubio doing his Reaganesque thing.
For Rush to fall into an obvious rat/trap of dealing with social issues when the country is on the brink of disaster financially and every other way is near unforgiveable.
Now back to the reality of the situation, anybody but obama.
IT appears Rush is mortal afterall....
Gotta disagree with you on this one. My fav hippie. The moment stefffuyy stepfhy plied this BS on Romney, even Romney caught it immediately and did not fall for the trap.
For anyone to get caught up in social issues, especially birth control---a huge huge non-issue-- when the country is in the shape it is in has no political expertise whatsoever.OR, a huge runaway ego in Rush's case.
He did himself in has no one to blame but himself.
The only question is how much any of them will screw up,Rush less so than others.
Try talking to ten million people and be perfect every time for years,it does not happen.
Even with all his recent screw ups Rush Limbaugh remains the gold standard and always will be. You have to measure these guys in terms of years not infrequent misques during a few shows.
I didn’t think Santorum was terrible, but he doesn’t have Newt’s quick mental reaction to turn crap back upon the crapper. He didn’t look too bad, but he was defensive.
To anyone with a functioning brain, you are correct that the interviewer (the crapper) looked horrible! Cheap shots pushed over and over—makes you wonder what the crapper was looking for.
Maybe he got what he wanted. Santorum made one little, bitty mistake IMO and it is one that shouldn’t matter. However given the pettiness of today’s “news” shows it probably will.
Santorum first explained that the care of his special needs daughter is expensive—that was fine; but then he came back at least twice as Wallace kept pushing the crap and talked about his many children and that his daughter was an expense.
We all know what he meant, but I expect to see a replay of the exact words from Wallace sometime in the near future as he tries to make it look like Santorum regards his little daughter as “an expense”.
This is the level these turds have sunk to IMO. Just plain scum! I’d love to be wrong.
I agree with your post #200. I also believe that I feel Rush’s staff has become “yes men” and will not shy him away from thin ice. He continually looks to Snerdly and others for guidance, “am I overdoing it?” etc and they by now seem to cheer him on (off mic). I would guess that his new wife finally got him to recant. He has lost 7 sponsors (Sleep Number, The Sleep Train, Quicken Loans, Legal Zoom, Citrix, Carbonite, and ProFlowers) and I can’t even think of others (except his own 2 if by Tea. LOL). A Black lady called in on the 3rd day of his rant and seemed to be a fan and a friend and cautioned him she was tired of him going on about it, and he just blew her off. I think he likes reassured, such as on the Donavan McNabb comments that got him booted off ESPN. He keeps trying to justify what he meant, without conceding or realizing that things can be taken other ways. He accused this law student of testifying that she had “so much sex” that she needed to spend $3,000/year. She said no such thing. He seems not to know that once birth control pills are started that they have to be used each day, month in and month out, even if sex is occasional or not at all. Many use these to regulate menses. He really twisted her testimony, so, yes, she had a colorable case. And law suit discovery can cut both ways. The whole thing was unfortunate. I really like Rush and rue the day he will eventually retire. But he needs more self discipline.
You may be right....did I jsut say that??? Well, that is a first.ha.
You are right to say that the ‘social issues” are the ultimate “trap.”
Re your #208, I recall Rush telling the candidates over the past year to NOT get sidetracked into social issues. He knew it was a trap but yet he forgot it. Unreal. I hope he goes back and plays the tape where he was screaming this from the roof tops, and he, of all people, faltered. Bad boy, Rush.
Totally agree with #212, and Rush says now and then that he performs live and without a net for 3 hours per day etc and it is so hard to not made a mistake. But we need him now more than ever. We already lost Andrew Breitbart this week. None of the others (Hannity, Beck, Levin, et al) are as effective or in the same league as Rush, and that is why he is such a big target. God bless Rush. Keep him safe and especially sound.
Yes, I think he meant to say "nappy headed ho".
So I'm going to create another account for politics. I know many of you also want to do this so what you'll need for twitter, first of all, is an email address. Before you get that I would suggest you consider whether you want it to be public or not, that is, will it identify you?
Here on Free Republic most of us do not use our real names. Some may argue whether that's bad or not but I do believe it is better to NOT use your real name. The reason I say this is that in this great big land of ours there are psychopaths that you don't want to give yourself over to for whatever headaches and problems they could cause.
So, don't use your real name email address (if you have one) and certainly not your work email address. Google mail, MSN, Hotmail, mail.com, HushMail.com, etc.; all offer free mail hosting and you can use a handle just like at Free Republic. I suggest you use hushmail.com as it is very private. Remember that you will use the new email account just to create a twitter account as Twitter will send an email back to that email account in order to activate the twitter account. Once that is done, you simply log into twitter with whatever name and password you so desire.
So, I am now BabylonAlas (Alas Babylon was taken!) on Twitter. Look me up, read the profile; you'll know it's me.
Let's start tweeting our RIGHTEOUS cause!
Aint it de trufe?
