I find the idea of trying to impose a tablet UI on a desktop computer to be absurd.

All of these features designed to save screen real estate make perfect sense, on a tablet’s small screen.

I’m running a pair of 27” monitors.

What you want to bet, MS techs are not using Metro on THEIR work computers?

Windows 8 comes in two versions(on the Intel, not the ARM version), the desktop and the tablet versions. The desktop version will have the traditional Windows 7 style desktop UI.
