Not really a fan of MSTS either. It’s useful for troubleshooting, but it’s worthless if the OS locks up or the server is stuck in a boot loop.

We used Avocent IP-based KVMs in my former company for console-level connectivity and HP’s iLO as a backup. Hardware-based remote console is much more reliable.

You're talking about using MSTS for remote console acces. We're talking about using them for remote terminal application access. We have more than 2200 users on 120 MSTS servers.
