Any enlisted man coming to the end of his contract, any officer who’s fulfilled his obligation and anyone who’s eligible to retire needs to think long and hard about what this implies. While I cannot condone desertion, anyone in a position to leave the service should do so. Anyone who remains, or who enlists from this point on, should realize they are utterly expendable for political gain.
