In that scenario, I won't vote for President but will vote for any candidate down the ballot who pledges to thwart the efforts of the clowns at the top of the ticket.

The difference between Romney and Obama is so little that it really doesn't matter who wins. The political differences between Obama and Romney is like the difference between a Ford and a Mercury - they are only cosmetic.

A Romney victory in the general election would be a huge disaster for conservatives. For the next twenty years or so, the GOP-E will use the Romney victory as proof that the Republican nominee must be a moderate or liberal masquerading as a moderate (like Romney). This will be used as an excuse to forever marginalize the conservative wing of the party. Personally. I feel that a conservative voting for Romney in the general election is a surrender of Reaganism to the GOP-E.
