RUSH: "A growing body of psychology research shows that incompetence deprives people of the ability to recognize their own incompetence. To put it bluntly, dumb people are too dumb to know it." It's a blessing! You know, the worst thing would be to be dumb and to know it -- and there's evidence all over that the dumb do not know they're dumb. You can see it. You can see it. How do you know the dumb person doesn't know they're dumb? What's the first clue? What is the first clue that a dumb person doesn't know that he or she is dumb? What is it? Well, you know what it is!
The first clue that a dumb person doesn't know they're dumb is they open their mouth. The way they dress. The political party that they join. There's all kinds of evidence. "Similarly, unfunny people don't have a good enough sense of humor to tell" they're not funny. Have you ever been around somebody who thinks they're funny at hell and they're not? It's 'cause they're too dumb to know that they're too dumb. This is why banning the ugly, making it voluntary, never worked. The ugly are too dumb to know it, and it's a blessing.
RUSH: Let's go to the audio sound bites. Carol Costello, CNN, this morning on CNN's Newsroom reporting the story about Sandra Fluke and me and the brave congressional testimony. This woman who wants unlimited, no responsibility, no-consequences sex paid for by you and me, Carol Costello, CNN's stalker assigned to me. You'll also hear Suzanne Malveaux in this report.
COSTELLO: Rush Limbaugh blasted a young woman who called birth control a health care issue.
RUSH ARCHIVE: What does it say about the college co-ed Susan Fluke who goes before a congressional committee and essentially says that she must be paid to have sex. What does that make her? It makes her a slut, right? Makes her a prostitute. She wants to be paid to have sex. She's having so much sex she can't afford the contraception. She wants you and me and the taxpayers to pay her to have sex. What does that make us? We're the pimps.
COSTELLO: See what I mean?
MALVEAUX: Wow.
COSTELLO: You're still reeling from the Rush Limbaugh thing, right.
MALVEAUX: Just -- just -- it's all very shocking, I imagine people have very strong opinions about it.
COSTELLO: Big difference, right, birth control, having sex.
RUSH: Yeah. Do you realize they don't get it? These are the liberal foot soldiers. These are not the leaders. These are the foot soldiers. They don't see 10% of what I see. It just doesn't compute at all. We just did a story, Snerdley, on how the stupid don't know they're stupid. Snerdley just asked me, "Can they really be this ignorant or dumb?" Yes, to answer your question. They heard every word I said and they are dumbfounded and they are reeling. Big difference, right, birth control, having sex? You don't need birth control if you're not having sex. The woman wants unlimited, no responsibility, no-consequences sex, and she wants it with contraceptives paid for by us. (interruption) Were these kinds of women around when I was in school?
Oh, oh, no, no, no. I didn't know any Flukes. No. Well, wait. I take it back. Yes. Every school had a couple of 'em. You know, for every 500 students, every school had a couple of these. Now they're everywhere. That's what you're getting at, right? And the two at your school, I mean even with birth control, you wouldn't go there. That's the big difference. I mean there were women that you might think you could get a disease, but you didn't care but -- (interruption) No, the two on average back then you wouldn't get, no. I see what you mean. They were there and they were well known. They were widely known, and so were the greasers that spent time with them. But you didn't find them in the A&W parking lot on Friday night, let's just put it that way.

The liberal world, and the State-Run Media, is packed to the rafters with persons of this type.
Does amorality deprive people of the ability to recognize their own immorality?
What’s rich, is a guarantee every one of these people will hear Limbaugh called them dumb, and they won’t be able to say anything back.
Depends on which set of test scores you want to believe and whether or not I am verbally beating you to death during an argument.
:-)
Stupidity cannot be cured with money, or through education, or by legislation. Stupidity is not a sin, the victim can’t help being stupid. But stupidity is the only universal capital crime: the sentence is death, there is no appeal, and execution is carried out automatically and without pity.
Robert A. Heinlein ~ Time Enough For Love
Got to hand it to Rush!
Maybe they take the pill for the flavor.

Guess I'd disagree with Mr Heinlein on this point. Ignorance (in the sense of honestly lacking information) is not a sin, but stupidity is, since stupidity is ignorance which, through laziness, arrogance, fatal lack of imagination, hatred or any other attitude which prevents one from removing his head from his rectum, is willingly maintained for purposes other than conforming to what is true. Ignorant people can be filled with information, as a starving man can be filled with food; stupid people are like starving people who either reject the food given them or, consuming it, head directly for the vomitorium. Stupid people may suspect they are stupid, or they may well not know it, but even if they suspect they are, they will never admit it, as this will mean the complete reorganization of firmly-held opinions or fantasies or hatreds that are the foundations for their stupidity.
And, unfortunately, in some professions (e.g., politics, acting, advertising) it can afford some success and a very nice living which can batten the barriers between their lives and reality, allowing them decades of damage. In fact, some professions provide stupidity with a broad, clear field to work in, and reward it handsomely, allowing the stupid to do years worth of damage to the real world before that supposedly inevitable verdict is issued by the universe.
Or maybe not.
Debating with one of them will tend to make one stupid too.
You start out thinking, "this will be easy" but find that to get through to them, you must step it down a notch and then another notch, then another and before you know it, you're as stupid as they are.
Been there.
Great post. A little slow, maybe ;)
2 minutes and 28 seconds?
Hey! I was at work!
Now just where is it I heard about jobs that Americans won't do??? Small wonder.
Back when I was a teenager, one of the excuses was “I take them in case I get raped.”
I wonder if they still use that one.
It does raise some questions about our culture, or maybe more likely our present education system, in light of comparisons to other cultures; in particular East Asians, who seem to exhibit just the opposite characteristics. We may in fact be coddling our future day laborers, leading them to believe they could some day become, say, president. Curious.
