Oil companies do not control the supply of oil.

You have no idea what you are talking about, unless you are referring to Libya or Venezuela.

Fair and balanced gives too much credibility to Democrats being wrong, and it’s helping ruin the economy.

” - - - He’s so empty-minded - - - “

Would you also say that O’Reilly is an Empty Suit?

Or maybe a “Pinhead” in a pin-striped suit.

I haven’t watched or paid attention to O’R. since he trashed Jerome Corsi’s and his book on the ‘Swift Boat Vets’. He spins more than a dragster.

Almost every natural gas supplier[ie Cabot, Talisman and Encana] is cutting production due to oversupply and the winter. It happens all the time.

You are correct, the free market in oil is controlled by a few large companies and no one is allowed to play but them.

True. But that is natural gas and not oil. Natural gas is selling for $2.50 an MCF. I hear they are giving it away free with a Happy Meal. No one but OPEC shuts in production to fix prices. Without production, you have no cash flow. I know of no American company who has shut in oil wells in order to increase the price. Especially in many basins like the Gulf of Mexico because the wells will cone salt water and leave behind a lot of reserves. It happens every time a hurricane comes through and they shut in wells. Many of them don’t come back.

Does anyone else find his use of the term “The Folks” to be as nauseating as I do? I do not want to be one of his “Folks”

Which large oil companies do you speak of? Do they eat caviar in a smoke-filled ballroom with smoking jackets and sip cognac and laugh at how they gouge the American consumer? Face it. We ran out of cheap oil in the 1970’s and we will be a slave to Canada, Mexico, and OPEC until we have a windmill powering every automobile. The current boom in the Bakken and other horizontal plays is about 10% of our demand. My advice would be to get used to a minimum $3.00 a gallon gasoline for your lifetime and buy oil company stocks as a hedge. Barring a worldwide collapse, those days are gone. Too many Chinese and Indians are wanting to drive cars instead of bicycles. They are the reason the price of oil increases every year.

I came to that conclusion some time ago. I can’t stand his loud mouth, arrogance and his pseudo intellectual air.

LOL, you get a permit to build a refinery and I will buy some stock,. And then get some leases to drill.

Now, getting a permit from the EPA to build a new refinery. That is a one-in-a-million shot. All they (the refiners) can do are retro-fits. That is where the bottleneck is on the US supply-and-demand story. Why should a refinery shutting down for a week in Bremerton, Washington for maintenance cause the price of gasoline to go up a quarter in Texas? Because the refiners are working at something like 99% capacity and there is no room for error. The EPA is responsible for much of the high cost for a gallon of gasoline because of the lack of refining capacity in this country. And it started before Obamao but has gotten worse.

” - - - i stopped watching the Bloviator in chief long ago.”

Billy-O has become more detached from reality lately. His TV status is approaching that of the Kardashians, you know, “famous for being famous.”

Last year Billy-O claimed that there was ONE man that set the price of Gasoline. So far his crack staff have been unable to find that one man.

Reality: The supply of oil in the World is 95 % controlled by Foreign Governments. “Big Oil” is a myth that the MSM loves to create for the benefit of politicians who drool at the possibility of Nationalizing the US Oil and Gas Private Companies.

They know that the World runs on Oil, so if they control US Oil, they can compete with all the other Governments for the control of all transportation, well, except for solar and wind powered trucks, planes, trains, and ships.

Billy-O, “the spin starts with you,” deal with it.

BTW, just how expensive are the Federal Permits to build and operate 1800’s style sailing ships? Might be worth looking into, in 5 years, of course.

So show me otherwise. Dispute my argument rather just spout ‘you don’t know what you are talking about.

Otherwise you just look like your opinion is fact.

What is “conservative” about wanting to pay ever more money for gasoline?

There are clearly multiple agendas in action. Liberals want us to pay more, to force us to ride gay unicorns.

But oil companies certainly are not looking out for our interests either.

We’re screwed, because both sides want us to pay and pay and pay.

O’Reilly is not altogether wrong for once. IMO.

I have heard several times, that America is a net exporter of gasoline.

Is that true?... if so, why in the world is that the case?

That’s the sort of thing, which O’Reilly is saying.

With lots, and lots of people out here agreeing with him.
