I’m pretty sure if they put him in gen pop he will be an important part of a “gang” .... but not the type he was thinking of.
Most states require juvenile offenders to be segregated from the general population...until their 18th birthday. Since he will probably be in prison when he turns 18, they will throw him a very nice party. As you say...”but not the type he was thinking of.”
