The problem is, the leadership of the State of California had a choice.
Why get paid for something, when you can pay for it?
This is sort of an honor thing for Democrats.

No offense but you don’t sound like you have ever been hunting.

LOL, I have been a hunter all my life, paying someone to run an animal up a tree and let you shoot it is not hunting. These cats live in a big range area. It is not like hunting deer in Ga. You can go out there and spend your whole life walking around looking for one of those cats, odds of you finding one, slim at best. They run them down with dogs are they bait them and sell a canned hunt. Simple! You can call it hunting if you wish, but I have a friend that owns a slaughter house, if the money is right I can arrange for you to kill a few cows, bulls cost more.

both a dying rabbit call and a fawn in distress call will bring a moubtain lion right in your lap
dying rabbit call is less than $10

Roflol, if, and that is a really big if, you are within hearing distance and the wind is not blowing the wrong way. LOL, I was watching a big coyote once, and had my range all figured and said just as soon as he tops that hill about 400 yards out i will nail him. The wind shifted just for a second and the coyote disappeared.

A few years ago in SoCal....a woman was killed by a lion.
The lion was tracked down and killed....and then someone discovered the lion had a litter of small lions.
Some people took up a charity for the woman...and her family. And some folks took up a charity for the baby puma's.....Guess which charity raised more money?

He's right you know...
Big black bears can be called in too with a predator call. So can wild hogs...And you can take them at 10-30 yds...with a bow.
What were you shooting when you missed out on that "coyote" at 400 yds because the wind shifted for a "second"?
To: AnotherUnixGeek
Yeah, I don’t think that eating predators is advisable.
They do take the sickest and weakest animals after all and tend to concentrate any toxins in the local food-chain in their flesh.
If I was starving maybe, but yuck...

"What he did was perfectly legal in Idaho." With the federalization of everything these days, many people no longer have the concepts of 'states rights' and 'state sovereignty'. They don't know what it is but they know they are agin it.

LOL, if you look it up the state of Idaho says 1% of their mountain lion kills are by call. That was out of 700+. And 23,000 permits in their most kill years. Go and try it. You will see a lot of foxes and coyotes. Big damn state, few cats. They have been a lots less kills reported downward trend.

The last cougar I ate drove off in a Mercedez. I dont shoot like I used to.....
To: AnTiw1
Blind hog finds acorn, happens now and then. Had a fox come to a deer call once. Approx 23,500 hunters approx 750 kills, less than 1% by call, you do the math, you will probably win the lottery first.

You really don’t know a damn thing, do you?

Well then, that was one of the stupidest comments Ive read today. But the day is young, I still have time to read more of your comments. LOL
org.whodat is proof positive that freerepublic needs an "ignore" function with a number-of-ignores limit that deletes the user if a [number] threshold is reached.
OTOH, the thing known as org.whodat wouldn't care anyway -- it is just a
Turing machine anyway...

So you run out of fingers and toes and cannot count past twenty, should have known. Now reread the part of your agreement here. The one that says no personal attacks. And remember no one kicked your cage.

Run and cry to whomever you like, you’re making yourself up as you go along, and you’re not very good at it.
