As memory serves, Mister Kerrey was literally roughed up by union thugs when he tried to run in the Democratic Presidential Primary back in the 90’s.

It seems his war wounds and RVN service didn't sit well with the Clinton camp.

It was Gore supporters in New Hampshire during the 2000 campaign who attecked Kerrey.
