The former vice presidential candidate was nominated Saturday for a Golden Raspberry Award as worst actress for her “performance” in the documentary “The Undefeated,” a film about her political career.
The tongue-in-cheek Razzies, which purport to salute the worst in the world of movies each year, typically are presented the day before the Academy Awards but their schedule was shifted this year - the nominees were released Saturday and the winners (or losers, depending on how you look at it) are to be announced April 1.
Alaska’s former governor, if she were to give this any thought at all, could take some comfort in being in good company; among her fellow nominees this year are such noted performers as Al Pacino (a supporting actor nod for “Jack and Jill”) and Nicolas Cage (worst actor for “Drive Angry”).
Palin’s fellow nominees in the worst actress category are Kristen Stewart (“Breaking Dawn”), Sarah Jessica Parker (both “New Year’s Eve” and “I Don’t Know How She Does It”) and two men performing in drag, Martin Lawrence (“Big Mommas: Like Father, Like Son”) and Adam Sandler, whose nomination for “Jack and Jill,” was one of a record 11 he received Saturday in various Razzie categories.

Yes, I understand that, but if she didn’t star in, write, produce or direct the film how can she be nominated for worst performance, IIRC Adam Sandler is up for multiple awards because he starred in and produced a couple of films. My understanding is they used clips of her, she wasn’t actually on site filming her appearances. As you can see I don’t watch the oscars or anything else related to hollywood be it emmys, tonys, oscars, or razzies!
Understood in that sense, ridicule is an ineffective tool against either falsehood or evil: one cannot tear down that which already stands low. Instead, mockery is employed to effect only against truth and virtue, in the service of reducing them, and for the benefit of those of lesser merit who wish to rise above them.
It’s a gag...intended to raise publicity.

When Natalie Wood was young, she was voted Worst Actress by - if I remember correctly - the Harvard Hasty Pudding Club. Natalie went and received it to cheers and applause. When Sarah has met her enemies - Bob Beckel and Alec Baldwin are examples - they ended up being charmed by her.
About the last 5 I watched, which is over the last couple of years, that I rented thinking because they were PG or sounded fairly decent that I would not be polluted watching them. The one thing they all seem to have in common was that they made sure people/a person at least, took the LORD's Name in vain. I really cannot tolerate that and usually just into the of the movie had to pull it out.
Right now I don't remember their names as it been a long time since I watched movies, other than a few put out by a Church, such as Courage. Since I ended up pulling them out so soon into them I have generally forgotten them. Also, come to think of it, I watched Blind Sided, which was a good movie from what I remember.
Many movies are actually propaganda, drawing us in with that which seems fairly good, but underneath they are vehicles of liberal propaganda, such as highly promoting the liberal "green movement". I don't think we need that either nor should support it.
I guess it depends on how fussy one is or discerning. When people watch many movies they probably become somewhat immune to much of the garbage in them.
If you ever run into a movie that isn't liberal propaganda, without fornication, adultery and/or homosexuality being championed as normal and good and without The LORD's Name taken in vain, being used lightly merely as an expression of speech or as a curse word and that movie is entertaining and enlightening please let me know. I like to watch a good movie every so often.
A drama is bound to have someone who isn’t very admirable and behaves as such. You may like The Artist, the film which won the Best Picture Oscar last night, it’s a fun show and a throwback.
Sarah Palin is a great American, and these people have no class.
