President Barack Obama has defended his energy strategy claiming there is no easy answer to the problem of rising gas prices. 'We know there's no silver bullet that will bring down gas prices or reduce our dependence on foreign oil overnight,' Obama said on Saturday in his weekly radio and Internet address dismissing Republican solutions as little more than gimmicks.
'But what we can do is get our priorities straight and make a sustained, serious effort to tackle this problem.'

You certainly will not see the state-run media showing this kind of stuff on the nightly news. That is the sad part of this entire story. If the situation were reversed, and the “R” candidate was defending himself against high gas prices, the lame-stream media would be showing this kind of stuff every night on the news. The MEDIA is our second biggest enemy next to the OBAMA administration.

The parasites in the swamp have been making grand speeches and huge promises to never be held hostage to oil again and to become energy dependent.
This was back in 76 and cars got 25 miles a gallon back then.
Fast forward 35 years. We still have not been back to the moon and cars get about 35 MPG if lucky.
