I saw one a few months ago that was among one of the most moving flicks I have ever seen in my life. A Russian flick called “The Thief” or “Vor” which I guess is Russian for it. A great movie on the importance of a father figure in a kids life which is why I guess I never heard of it being that it goes against the liberals propaganda on the beauty of single motherhood. The movie is about 15 years old and it was completely buried, at least it was to me and I watch a ton of flicks. Thanks for the heads up on those other ones you mentioned, I’ll look them up. Just finished watching every movie Charlie Chaplin ever made, at least most of them I think. All the major ones at least. I don’t know why I never saw any of his stuff before.
Thanks for the tip on The Thief
I think you will feel as drawn in on Sophie Scholl: The Final Days, as well. Few movies draw you in like that, and stay with you for many days after.
Looks like I’ll have to put The Thief on my wish list. The DVD or streaming does not seem to be available. I did see the trailer and it does look good.
