Just a few months after returning from the presidential campaign trail, a weary Sarah Palin shot off a 1 a.m. email to top colleagues in her office.
Buried in ethics complaints that she deemed frivolous, the Alaska governor was feeling increasingly detached from her family. She faced mounting legal bills that only exacerbated the financial turmoil related to her family's travel.
"I'm just beat down on this one. I am tired. The opponents have succeeded on the drive towards our personal bankruptcy, and have divided my family," she wrote.
She finished the overnight email with a sobering conclusion: "One has to be single, wealthy, or corrupt to function in this political system."

"I'm damned if I do, damned if I don't. I'm condemned and scrutinized for not being here enough," she wrote.
The governor said she paid out of pocket to repay travel by her family, which was "based on bogus accusations that I traveled too much in the past," and said she paid back taxes for not being in the governor's mansion "enough" during renovations.
"This Juneau situation cost Todd and me about $35,000 recently. The double standard applied to me and my spouse keeps me from freely traveling as other govs did," she wrote.

Awesome......... Excellent description. I agree 100%. And yes, McJuan McLaim IS a despicable person for letting his goons trash her. Rinos and GOP elites are shaking in their boots. They want Romney - we don’t. They gave us losers before and I hope we don’t have to put up with the Romneybots who are the VERY ones that trashed Sarah.
If you have time on your hands go to the Alaska Daily News website and find the searchable emails, type “ethics complaints” into the search box. It is very sad. The gov. showed a sense of humor about it occasionally though. One email reply to someone “We’re not paranoid, they really are out to get us.” followed by a smiley icon.

It makes me, for the first time in my adult life, to want to HIT SOMEONE over the head. It makes me sick to my stomach how the evil wicked scumbag leftists and the disgusting vermin media have treated this truly righteous woman. Damn damn them to hell, I am so angry that these vermin can walk the earth freely when they belong flushed down the toilet, and that goes for that smirking piece slime from SNL for what she did to this woman. I truly wish ill on her.
McCain was an idiot for allowing Romney people to be on his campaign team..what kind of moron picks people to be on his staff who were obviously rooting for someone else? They wanted Romney to be VP, McCain chose Sarah, because of that the likes of Schmidt and Wallace had the “If I can’t have him no one can” kind of mentality, they destroyed the campaign so that Obama would win in revenge for not having Romney on the ticket. Sarah Palin is the ONLY reason I even voted for McCain, I live in California, this state goes Democrat no matter what, but I went to the polls and voted for McCain, who was an utter bore, because of Sarah Palin. I even donated for the first time in my life to the campaign. She busted her ass for that man and what did that get her, nothing but pain and suffering. McCain showed what kind of human being he is by never defending her, or when he did, he did it so half-ass it was pathetic
It is important to remember that, when McVain introduced her as his VP pick, CANDIDATE Obama unleashed 33 attorneys on the town of Wasilla to dig up dirt on her.
They ended up, after months of digging, with bupkus!!
A lot of people went along with the smears against her after the ‘08 election ended. Sarah is a genuine heroine and a person of strong religious conviction and personal honor and character. We are unaccustomed to someone like her serving as our leader but, like another poster said, I hope to one day be able to say with pride that she is my President!!
Which is exactly why many Palin supporters hated Bachmann. Go to any pro Palin site, none of them supported Bachmann for exactly the reason you mentioned
If anybody saw the documentary, The Undefeated, you saw what our country lost by not having her as president. I don’t have high hopes for our country’s future.

I went to the polls and voted for McCain, who was an utter bore, because of Sarah Palin. ......................... Who voted for McCain? Most people I talked to voted for Palin. It was like, why is McCain on top of the ticket? We had over flowing crowds at her rallies. I would rather see Palin run and lose than what we are allowing to be picked.
McCain did not defend Palin. His people (including his fat daughter) stabbed her in the back and he did not stand up in public against them.
As far as I am concerned, he placed her and her family in danger by not being more aggressive against the leftists (including legally) and firing some staff.
I despise the Left for going after Palin like ravishing animals and I despise McCain and his catty little wifey for not standing up for her and her handicapped child in public - loud and clear.
What a nightmare for the country.

Ive said it a few times already but I really don’t think McCain wanted to be President. If he wanted to become President he wouldnt have kissed Obama’s rear every chance he got during the campaign. Remember when he said to that older woman at some campaign rally “You don’t have to fear an Obama candidacy,” that is when I knew right there the campaign was done. I wouldnt have blamed Palin if she had quit right there, I would have. What’s the point, its not like he wanted to win anyway. His heart was not in it, it never was. He just made Palin do all the work for him, he was jealous that she was getting 20,000+ people to show up at HER rallies while the only reason anyone came to his was to see her. Must have really bruised his ego to see that.
Don’t get me started on his daughter Porky Pig, she is just as disgusting as her daddy, I can see why she turned out the way that she did. With Cindy she is just an elitist snob, but her daughter, WOW whole other story going on with her.
Even after the election when McCain did defend her, it was like pulling teeth, when he would do it it was like it was being forced, he would do it with a smile on his face. He is a jerk, plain and simple.
And he's probably never been anything else.
Prior to his POW phase, he was evidently roundly disliked by everybody he came in contact with. That is, he was recognized as a jerk.
If he hadn't been shot down and imprisoned in North Viet Nam, he would be a retired LtC living alone somewhere in San Diego -- whose neighbors thought of him as a jerk.
