TEXAS TOWNSHIP Friends of Republican presidential hopeful Rick Santorum, who are touring Michigan in a 'rolling billboard' bus, made a pit stop Friday in the Kalamazoo area.
Representatives from Susan B. Anthony List, Culture War Victory Fund, Catholic Vote, Campaign for Working Families and Let Freedom Ring are visiting 16 cities in Michigan ahead of the primary election on Tuesday to encourage supporters to vote. They stopped Friday just outside of the TownPlace Suites in Texas Township.
The Susan B. Anthony List has never endorsed a presidential candidate before, but Santorum started with no money and no one would have believed he was going to be a contender, but he is and Michigan has a chance to be such a player, said Marilyn Musgrave, vice president of the pro-life organization.
Musgrave, a former Colorado congresswoman who knows Santorum personally, said she hopes he feels encouraged by the "rolling billboard." Her organization launched a $150,000 radio ad campaign in Michigan for the former Pennsylvania senator on Thursday, as well.

Thursday outside the Muskegon County Convention and Visitors Bureau in
Muskegon. Social conservative groups are running the bus tour independently of the candidate.
