He sounded a little disingenuous in the debate trying to explain it was all about future judges.

Given that Specter was heading the Senate Judiciary Committee, and is a pro-abort, he could have EASILY spiked a Roberts or an Alito. I find the explanation more than plausible, given Santorum's priorities (pro-life, etc.)

Meanwhile I just saw an ad claiming that Santorum voted for Sotomayor. Then it cuts away to Mitt Romney telling us how we have a “moral imperative” to keep people like Santorum out of Washington.

Just yesterday the Boston Globe pointed out that 3/4 of the judicial nominations made by Romney were democrats.
