Just think of how things have changed in only 5 years. Back then, 5% unemployment was inexcusable. Homeless people were everywhere. And gasoline at $2.50 a gallon was solid proof that the Republicans had conspired with 'Big Oil' companies to rip the American people off.
Now, 9% unemployment is good for the economy, the homeless have all disappeared (I guess --- I never see stories about them anymore) and $5 gas would be a very good thing.

It's almost as if the press were playing favorites rather than honestly reporting the news... Nah, that can't be it or they'd totally lose their credibility... and readers.
