Sotomayor was appointed by Obama. Santorum was voted out of the Senate in 2006. It's possible that's why Santorum's name is NOT listed among the 9 Republicans that voted for her confirmation.

I want Newt to be our nominee and next president about 10,000 times more than I want Santorum, but we should be more accurate in our statements than the lyin' ass 'Rats and Rinos IMO.

Sotomayor was on a lower federal court the United States Court of Appeals for the Second Circuit prior to her USSC appointment. I could be wrong on this but I think that lower federal court also requires Senate confirmation for the job? So I guess that's when Santorum could have voted for or against her confirmation. I guess it is claimed he voted for? Don't know can anyone confirm or deny?

Aside: All GOP senators seem to lose their brains when it comes to voting for democrat-chosen supreme court wannabes. They allow utter nincompoops, selectees with utter empty judicial records to slide into the supreme court. Even the great legal liberal Lawrence Tribe thinks Sotomayor is a boob!
