Rush could pick up a few tips from Newt's Speech and Q&A

As much as I love Newt this simply isn’t going to happen.

If Newt had got the debate in GA instead of Romney and Santorum had backed out of then I’d have given Newt much more of a chance for a come back.

If he does make a come back then the establishment will go full mode again to attack him but just imagine Newt and obama in a debate.

Oh and before we get the usually name calling, mud slinging attacking Newt because the usual suspects think they have to because they like Santorum , well I am pointing out a fact not doing an attack

Gingrich makes me very uneasy. He’s so darn unpredictable.

But he’s the best alternative to Romney, and with the right resources, he’d do serious damage to Obama.

Newt may simply be allowing Romney and Santorum to spend (money and political capital) and then go for the kill.

I’d be surprised at this stage if Newt does not pull a double-reverse Operation Chaos and instruct his Michigan supporters to all go and vote for Santorum.

It would deal a likely fatal blow to The Mittster and keep the race alive for Newt to fight another day.

I agree. Newt is the only one of the candidates I want to answer the 3 a.m. phone call. That’s becoming more obvious every day.

Newt is a rhetorician and he knows 10 words can excite the base.

However, Newt is unpredictable and can just as easily project 10 words (ex: "Ryan's plan is right-wing social engineering") that can get him into trouble.

In today's world of soundbytes anything can happen.

Well Adelson is giving Newt another $10 mil and he said he might give him $100 mil if he needs to. Rick is going down the social issues road when most americans are concerned about jobs, jobs jobs. Mitt’s negative ads are already having an impact on Santorum’s momentum. Lets see where he is in two weeeks.

Newt probably will come back, much to Mitt's relief. Santorum was hitting critical mass, but the media is in a gang tackle on him now (Romney's attack from the right probably had little effect). The media will likely drive up Santorum’s negatives that will cause votes to flee him because he'll lose his electability parity with Romney. So I think Newt will come back and that will revive Romney too. Hope it doesn't happen because I prefer Santorum, but the media controls all.

But the debates are gonna kick back in again once we get close to Michigan and then we’ve got Super Tuesday.

Apparently Rush doesn’t know that there is one debate scheduled, Feb. 22, in AZ and that is the only one before Super Tuesday. There were a couple of others scheduled in Mar. but both have been cancelled. So don’t depend on debates to resurrect or defeat anyone at this stage.

In 15 days we’ll have a much better handle on who is going to rise if any and who will fall.

A Santorum presidency would be a GWB redux. A good and godly man who feels like the federal government has the responsibility to clean up people's mess. He will be moved to the left by the RINOs just like when he was in Congress.

Maybe better on judges, but not as good on taxes. Same, same on spending. Not good on government unions. Probably be better friends with Trumpka than he will be with LTC West.

All in all he would only marginally slow this country's march to economic ruin. And that's just not good enough.

I think it’s possible for a Newt comeback, expecially if we look at the existing EC votes. The states Santorum has won don’t ammount to much in EC votes. Newt’s still in it while we see what the South does.

read the other day that the report that Newt called Ryan’s plan, “right-wing social engineering”, was taken out of context, and, in reality, he praised Ryan’s plan.
