This explains why Newt doesn’t have arrogance...but an endless funnel of cash to his advantage. As of this morning...Romney is down to $66.7 million left on hand.

The pussies Santorum and Romney don’t want to debate him after tomorrow because they know Newt will regain the top spot again over them.

Everyone should own a politician or two. That’s what the USA has come to....bribery, corruption, manipulation, and money to tap into a crony government. Actually Adelson is giving his money to the MSM. It feeds their profits and makes our candidates beholden.

We’re headed quickly towards the same corruption that afflicts every other two bit banana republic or oligarchy or fiefdom. I can not understand how some who call themselves conservative believe the few owning politicians is honky dory. Both Parties can be corrupt and they are well on the way.

We need to remove money from government and elections and replace it with demonstrated free speech where supporters actually work and volunteer and go door to door for candidates.

Adelson was born and grew up in the Dorchester neighborhood of Boston, Massachusetts, the son of Ukrainian Jewish immigrants. He worked as a mortgage broker, investment adviser and financial consultant. He started a business selling toiletry kits, and in the 1960s he started a charter tours business. Adelson went to college at the City College of New York, but dropped out.

Originally a Democrat, Adelson became a Republican as his wealth increased. “Why is it fair that I should be paying a higher percentage of taxes than anyone else?” he once asked. He began making major contributions to the Republican National Committee following clashes with labor unions at his Las Vegas properties.

“...“I’m against very wealthy people attempting to or influencing elections,” he shrugs. “But as long as it’s doable I’m going to do it. Because I know that guys like Soros have been doing it for years, if not decades. And they stay below the radar by creating a network of corporations to funnel their money. ...”

Outstanding statement!!!!

Fight the bastards the way THEY fight. Soros is a POS socialist slug that couldn’t survive without parasiting off of capitalism - just like ALL socialist/communist countries.

Thank you Mr. Adelson.

Please, let this be true. Adelson would be making history. And by history, I mean legacy type history. He’s know in the business world, but this would make him a household name. Go for it!

Misleading headline. Adelson engaged in a bit of hyperbole to make a point, as in “I might give Newt a gazillion dollars and I might give him fifty dollars. Whatever I do, it’s legal and it’s nobody’s business but mine.”

In any case, it’s a great profile article, giving more insight into what motivates Adelson, a guy who wants to be the conservative counter-balance to Soros, and for good reasons. Well worth the read. Forbes will be publishing an extended version of the profile piece online tomorrow. Can’t wait!

I do hope Adelson gives more money to Newt’s PAC, and lots of it, and I hope he does it VERY soon. Whether he does or not, I’d never stay anywhere in Vegas other than the Venetian, and I’d make sure to let management know that Adelson is the reason why.

I sure hope this is true. Newt’s main problem is getting his message out. He is doing the best he can but it is not enough. I think people would like what they hear from Newt if only they could hear. Look at the effect the money that Mitt is throwing into Michigan to thwart Santorum. Mitt is slowly rising in the polls. I think a $100M would do the trick for Newt and be a game changer. GO NEWT GO!

Billionaire Sheldon Adelson Says He Might Give $100M To Newt Gingrich Or Other Republican

I'm against any and all contribution limits. If Adelson or Soros wants to give all his earthly possessions to the candidate of his choice, let him.

That said, I have to wonder what Adelson might want or demand in return.

I’d much prefer that he partner up with some of his billionaire buddies and that they spend as much as it takes to get an authentic (REAL AMERICAN!) conservative TV network on the air before the November election.

We need all the help we can get to take Obongo Bozo and his LIEbera/Socialist/Marxist/Fascist hangers-on out of Washington, DC.

Since Fox News has gone over to the dark side, who is left to speak for us?

I don’t think any honorable person would take this man’s money. Just think of how he earns it.

All the casinos are inevitably and indubitably tied to the Mafia and have been for decades.

This is dirty money.

I would urge Mr. Gingrich to just say “No.”

“Newt’s ace in the hole. Newt will rise again. -:)”

Perhaps but only to fall again for the last time. Perhaps taking republicans with him.

I think the way newt has campaigned against success, and financial choices with your own money is discussing. Not only is it morally wrong, it is going to make it very difficult for newt or anyone to take on socialist Obama. You can’t beat a socialist at his own envy & hate game.
