Ok, maybe I might look foolish, but I am neither angry nor spiteful. I have a lot of unanswered question for Rick Santorum, and getting little help answering them. Thanks for what you are doing, and I mean that. When I make statements about Rick and ask questions it is because I care, and he worries me a great deal.

Rick Santorum is leading for two reasons:

1. The public crusifixion of Newt Gingrich by Mitt Romney, the Media and establishment republicans. Much of which is inaccurate and some plain false. His own moral failings are public knowledge. (I am glad mine aren’t). But to think the others are innocent of moral failings is to discount much of the gospel. Newt is redeemed and forgiven by God, we would do well to do the same.

2. Ron Paul is unacceptable because of a naviee view of radical Islam and their purposes. Mitt Romney is the worse kind of politician, seeking office solely for the purpose of self interest...and does anything and everything to get elected.

Rick is what most people believe they have left. So they build him up in their own minds in order to get excited about his candidacy. He is an average Jr. Senator, that needs more seasoning, and in a sense a very average communicator.

I wasn’t referring to those like yourself who might have concerns but voice them thoughtfully.

Rick has improved in public speaking, confidence and clarity of message.
What I like about him is that he’s not afraid to stand up for his values and beliefs or take on the media.

You are probably right that he needs more seasoning..but that’s okay. Would we rather have a nominee who is a little wet around the ears but who is willing to grow and learn..or a flip flopping, unscrupulous, power hungry phony who’s been campaigning for seven years, honing his fake message and deceiving the electorate?
As for being an average Jr. senator, that might be true..but I don’t see the problem.
This is a whole new venu and ball game. Anybody can change..ie improve.
Game on!

I think that is how I saw Santorum when I looked for someone to support or like after Cain. He’s the one left that I don’t actively dislike. But the more I learned about him and watched him, I saw that he was something unusual today in politics: genuine. And in the Republican field, he is an unapologetic conservative. Most are not. They believe the great liberal myth of us being racist sexist homophobes. They define themselves using words like “compassionate,” as if other conservatives were, of course, not. Senator Santorum is proud f his conservatism and believes its principles, once applied, will help our country economically.

Is he perfect? No. Will he chase skirts or his own legacy in the White House? No. Will he seek to be liked by libs and the media? No. Can he rise to the occasion? He has already proven he can, with his great media responses. His Rombo ad is funny as heck. He will go after Obama and is already nailing him where others aren’t. He’s taking heat now and diverting it with pleasant, mocking smiles. The CBS interview yesterday was priceless. Every word he says is being twisted by the media, but his actual quotes are beautiful. He is not even close t saying what the media says he is saying.

He is handling himself just fine, and I believe a person like him in The White House could be far better for us than a self-indulgent insecure dreamer, an active, unafraid communist, or a status quo moderate. He has the potential for greatness too.
