I'm much prepared to break out of the Washington establishment model.
........WALLACE: You were listing to some of the states. And obviously, you know, it's not only big ideas. It's also political strategy. What does it mean to Mitt Romney if he were to lose his home state and an important swing state of Michigan?
GINGRICH: Well, I'd be curious what their rationales would be. Here' the guy who's been running for six years, put in $40 million of his own money last time, has outspent all the rest of us I think by three or four to one in terms of his campaign and probably by 10 or 15 to one in terms of his super PAC. And if he can't carry his own -- he has gotten majority anywhere, except that very tiny majority in Nevada.
If he can't carry his home state, I think the rationale for why is there a Romney candidacy. He's not a candidate of ideas. He's not a candidate of ideologies. He was the candidate because he was the inevitable winner.

Wcluellace has to ask why the lower tax rates, and Newt has to explain economic growth has to be the #1 priority and his goal is a 4% unemployment. Go Newt!
It must be tough to fight the enemy and also fight the enemy. Wouldnt put it past the rino’s to team up with the Obama campaign if they havent already.
And it is making conservatives dig in and stand their ground.
The Establishment is getting angry and saying we are stopping the only "electable" (read: moderate with general election cross-over appeal, who will work with Congress and Wall Street) candidate in the GOP field.
Winning Our Future | Newt '08 on Consulting Fannie and Freddie Newt answers question at Townhall. It is amazing how much he can pack into 1:36 as he tears into Freddie and Fannie.

This is real! We love you here. We love you!
Does Ryan Now Agree with Gingrich? [And now, here's the rest of the story] "There is a perception lingering about NewtGingrich that he was a critic of PaulRyan's budget plan and therefore a critic of conservative fiscal policy in the House of Representatives. Is that conclusion true? Or is it an oversimplification? Like many misconceptions floating around during a heated political season, it is not true. Let's examine the facts.
On April 5, 2011, Representative PaulRyan, the HouseBudgetCommittee chairman, introduced the Republican budget for 2012. Included in that budget was a premium support model for Medicare. This budget was based on a similar plan previously laid out by Ryan called TheRoadmapforAmerica'sFuture. That document had been a RepublicanParty policy call to change the budget and put it on sound fiscal grounds compared to the Democrats' unwillingness to budget at all and tax and spend into infinity. The Harry Reid-run Senate has not passed a budget for over three years, even though they are required to by law.
Gingrich praised the Ryan plan in an article in Human Events on April 13. He called it the most serious attempt by an elected official to rethink our public finances and the modern welfare state in a generation. That is quite a compliment from a former speaker of the House to a current committee chairman. Using a golfing metaphor, Gingrich celebrated the plan, calling it a Ryan "eagle." Is that comparison a negative critique, or is it commendation? One week later, on April 20, Gingrich in the same space heaped more praise on the plan. He compared PaulRyan to PaulRevere, one of our nation's great heroes, and compared the Ryan Medicare plan with his own previous welfare reform. Why would he disparage something he would compare to one of his greatest achievements? Gingrich later said he would have voted for the plan if he had had the opportunity."..... [and there is more]
[Here’ the guy who’s been running for six years...]
...and he has also run the same campaign as obama...running against the Republican side of Congress.
I like Newt but he needs to stop saying that different candidates need to drop out of the race if this or that! It may come back to bite him!
I haven’t seen all the words Newt said in this interview, but I took from it that there’s no rational reason for Romney’s candidacy IF he can’t win a majority anywhere and IF he were even to lose his home state.
After all he has spent and all the years he’s been running...
And how the theme has been that he’s a winner, he can beat Obama, blah blah...
To come down to THIS sorry performance?
That’s what I got from Newt.
“electable”
Translation: selected before the primaries.
You should have read the article before commenting. You will be surprised by what he said about that and how it speaks to your criticism.
I never gave any other political treatise such prominence. I think that's when I decided I would support Newt Gingrich if he ever ran for president.
So happy to have the opportunity to vote for him.
And we're just going to keep moving forward gathering delegates. We're looking forward very much to Super Tuesday. We had a great weekend with Herman Cain endorsing, campaigning in Georgia. We'll be back campaigning. It will be in Oklahoma, Arizona, Washington, Idaho and California this week.
And carrying out -- the biggest difference between me and Santorum, who in many ways were the conservative wing of the race, is the scale of the ideas, the boldness of the ideas. [NO FOOLIN'!]
I'm much more prepared to talk about fundamental change, whether it's a personal Social Security savings accounts for young Americans, or it is zero capitol gains tax, or it is the kind of energy policy that leads back to $2.50 a gallon gasoline.
And I think in that sense, I'm much prepared to break out of the Washington establishment model. Read more: http://www.foxnews.com/on-air/fox-news-sunday/2012/02/19/newt-gingrich-resurrecting-his-presidential-campaign-eric-cantor-talks-payroll-tax-holida/print#ixzz1mqsasms2
I just read the whole article and, yes, he finally figured it out and how to say it. I am all for a flat tax! He has gome great ideas and I hope he can win.
So does this mean Gingrich ONLY supporters will stop calling it Faux News now?
Bump!

I won’t stop as long as they are still in the tank for Romney and keep giving guest slots to RINOs and political whores like Karl Rove and Ann Coulter.
