An adviser to President Barack Obama's re-election campaign says GOP presidential candidate Rick Santorum went "well over the line" when he questioned Obama's Christian values.
Robert Gibbs tells ABC's "This Week" that it's time "to get rid of this mindset in our politics that, if we disagree, we have to question character and faith."

“This man wont fly with his dog-”
So THAT’S why Mooselle takes separate flights!
I guess the constant sniveling confused me. BTW, just how good did the Clinton’s vaunted operation have to be to run rings around the spineless and inept DC Republicans?
Rick’s right, Obama’s values are Muslim/Islam.
No need to question a man’s Christian values when clearly that man is not a Christian.
That line has been destroyed for several years now. Of course what does a typical white man “stupidly” clinging to his guns and bibles know.
I could never understand why the Clintons never went after Baraq’s dubious past in that long hard fought primary season.
FReepers convinced me it was because the Chicago mob likely had incriminating info on the many suspicious deaths that took place during the Clinton governorship and presidency.
>>If it were a football game, the liberals would demand that they can run and pass, but conservatives can run only.
But the GOP-Elite would insist that Conservatives can only punt.
Which line is crossed by saying that Obama is a non-Christian? There’s a line in the sand on this topic? Says who? Obama already said he is a muslim. Nobody else can say he is not a Christian? Only Obama can say it?
AMEN to that, especially one as radically pro abort as Comrade Zero. It's waayyy past time someone on our side grew a pair.
I remember wondering about that at the time. I had never thought much about it but it makes sense.
calling people demons and NAZI’s and accusing them of wanting to turn back civil rights isn’t crossing the line?
But didn’t 0bama just question all of our Christian values if we resist his wealth redistribution agenda? 0bama and his campaign are the biggest ever whiners.
Enough said is right. NOBODY says “My Muslim Faith”, unless they are one, nobody.
Anyone who supports abortion is not a Christian.
The left is now squealing about Republicans, who dare to keep bringing faith into politics, with nary a word about the left’s attempt to force itself into raping religion.
Meet them with force and keep bringing it. Their backwards politics need to be treated with the lack of respect they show themselves and their characters.
If Santorum doesn’t lose his Jimmy and keeps this up, he’ll be a shoe-in.
No, Rick didn’t go too far, he didn’t go far enough.
The president is a muslim.
No he didn’t and he is right........
Memo to Rick Santorum:
They are going to pressure you in unbelievable ways to apologize and back down.
DO NOT APOLOGIZE. DOUBLE DOWN.
Not only is Obama not a Christian, he’s not even an American.
(And I mean culturally, not literally. Don’t let them pull that “Birther” crap either.)
Obama supporters and Santorum supporters agree; this is a good thing to be talking about right now.
