“We have to look at the root cause of why the economy is struggling as much as it is,” Santorum said. “Government intervention. Government regulation. Government taxation. Government is crushing and destroying the American spirit and the American free enterprise system.”

Yadda-yadda-yadda

In his career in Washington DC, the pro-big spending Santorum, as Congressman, sponsored or co-sponsored 50 spending bills, for a total of $53 billion increase of government spending.

Not to mention the $3.5 billion of earmarks he included in the budget over the years ...

Facts speak louder than words. Words are cheap.

At least he didn’t create new departments in the Federal government, or elevate the EPA to Cabinet level or vote for the Clean Water Act like another candidate did. How is that for some facts? He also wasn’t dumb enough to buy into global warming, TARP and the need for Ffederally mandated healthcare. Those trump earmarks big time. Buy the way, earmarks are a pittance compared to entitlement spending. Rick led the fight for Welfare Reform in the Senate.

I post all of this knowing full well your many and constant postings outlining your hatred of Rick, your willingness to say anything about him because you believe the ends justify the means. That is why I will ignore any further posts by you.

Just imagine if every Senator from the 100, did the same as Santorum, the government spending would have increased with a whopping $5.3 trillion!

Which is exactly the rising federal deficit under Obama’s watch!
